For those of you who think the AirPod Pros are starting to age against the competition & looking for a newer model, we may get it sooner than later.  The folks over at Bloomberg, reports that we will see new versions of the AirPods & the AirPods Pro as early as next year.

  • So let’s start off w/ the one everyone is waiting for: the next-gen AirPod Pro.  The 2nd-gen models may ditch the stem design for a more traditional earbuds design like the Jabra Elites or Google Pixel Buds while still retaining noise-canceling abilities.  It took this long due to the integration of noise-cancellation, wireless antennas, & mics into a smaller form-factor has been difficult during their development.
  • The standard 3rd-gen AirPods is said to borrow the shorter stems from the Pros, replaceable eartips, and better battery life.  There’s also talks of a more affordable entry-level AirPdds to come along w/ the revamped models as well.
  • They’re getting closer to their over-the-ear headphones dubbed AirPods Studio.  They recently had to shrink the external touchpads as well as the amount of swappable parts it will have to offer.  They were almost done but had to go back as the headband being on the tighter side.
  • And last but not least, we hearing about a 3rd HomePod speaker to sit in-between the $99 HomePod Mini & the $299 HomePod for those of you interested in that.

So there you have it.  We’re expecting it the new AirPods sometime in early 2021.  While not sure about the new HomePod & the AirPod Studios but we’re expecting them headphones sooner rather than later.
