Yesterday was Disney’s big & lengthy investor’s livestream where they let loose all of the content that will be coming our way. Mostly through their Disney+ streaming service.
To make the $$ back that they put into all of this upcoming content, they’re gonna get it from us. And ergo this price increase. So starting on March 26, 2021, Disney+ will go up by $1 from $7 to $8. This also brings the annual up to $80 as well as the Disney bundle (Disney+, Hulu, ESPN+) going up by $1 to $14 monthly.
With a very successful year one under its belt, Disney+ is looking to crank up its original content by pumping funding into by the billions. They already outperformed their projections in regards to subscribers and is aiming for up to 350 million subs by 2024.
We’ll see in a year’s time if it all pans out – especially w/ the pandemic numbers still out of control here in the US.
