Earlier today, Google officially announced the arrival event of their 6th-generation Pixel smartphones.  It is happening on October 19th @10AM PST/1PM EST.  We’re expecting the Pixel 6 and the Pixel 6 Pro both powered by their own custom built Tensor CPU, running Android 12, and for the 1st-time ever, larger shooters.

The Pixel 6 is rumored to have a 6.4inch AMOLED display, 8GB of RAM, 128 or 256GB of storage, an 8MP selfie camera, a dual rear camera setup w/ a 50MP wide-angle + 12MP ultra-wide, and a 4614 mAh battery.  While the 6 Pro is said to offer a 6.7inch Plastic OLED display, 12GB of RAM, 128GB/256GB/512GB storage options, a 12MP selfie camera, a triple rear camera setup w/ a 50MP wide-angle + 48MP telephoto + 12MP ultra-wide sensors, and offering a 5000 mAh battery.

As far as new camera features, we’ve heard things like new manual controls for white balance adjustment in an effort to better capture diverse skin tones, the Magic Eraser feature teased back at I/O a few years back, Face Deblur, Scene Lock, Bluetooth mic support, Motion Blur, Baby Mode, & more along w/ the usual AI-based image rendering + Astrophotography.  It will be able to capture video up to 4K@60fps for the main and 4K@30fps for the ultra-wide + telephoto lenses.  Shooting in 4K@30fps, you’ll be able to switch between lenses w/o having to stop.

We have the time/date and now we need confirmation of specs and pricing.  So if you didn’t know, there’s a lot here to be excited for.  Especially for Android users anyways.  I’m definitely excited, how about you?
