For those of you w/ an iPhone 12 or 13, there are several MagSafe batteries to choose from. We wanted to talk about 2 of the more interesting ones w/ the Anker 622 MagGo & the MyCharge MagLock. We compare the 2 to let you know which one you should buy.

So for starters, like talk about the 2 in regards to the differences & similarities.  Anker’s new 622 Magnetic Battery is part of their latest MagGo line of MagSafe accessories.  It offers a 7.5W 5000 mAh battery w/ a built-in foldable stand for viewing in both horizontally + vertically.  Meanwhile the MyCharge MagLock is part of their Superhero branding.  It offers a 5W 6000 mAh battery w/ a hard shell UV coating to fight against scratches, stains, & fading.  The Anker is on the smaller + thin side while the MyCharge is on the thicker + heavier side.

Both offer an audible confirmation w/ automatic power on, a USB-C port for both charging the battery + giving power to another device, both require around 3 ours or so to charge fully, and both won’t show MagSafe battery life within the iPhone’s battery widget.  Now to compare against Apple’s own MagSafe battery, it has a 1460 mAh battery but w/ a faster 11W charge speed so it will charge faster than these 2 as well as show up on Apple’s battery widget.  Now one last thing to mention is that MyCharge offers 3 battery size options.  You got a smaller 3000 mAh & a massive 9000 mAh size at different price points in case you require more or less power on the go.

Now if I had to choose one, I’m going w/ the MyCharge as I prefer more power on the go.  Now there’s nothing wrong w/ the Anker one as I think it comes down to a matter of preference.  Now that you have all of the information on the 2, which one would you go with?
