Earlier today, Apple did their 1st product event of the year – as these companies now do multiple. They had a lot to show off w/ several pieces of new hardware including this guy: the 2022 iPhone SE.
The latest SE retains the same 4.7inch display from 2017, IP67 rated body, an upgraded A15 Bionic CPU, Touch ID sensor, sub-6GHz 5G support, and a larger battery that supports Qi wireless charging as well as up to 15 hours of video playback, 10 hours of streaming video, & 50 hours of audio playback.
On the camera side of things, you got a single f/1.8 12MP sensor capable of HDR4, Deep Fusion, Portrait Mode/Portrait Lighting, the new Photography Styles, and can shoot in 4K up to 60fps + Slow-Mo up to 240fps in 1080p. On the selfie side of things, you got a f/2.2 7MP camera capable of 1080 video.
The new iPhone SE starts at a slightly higher price point of $429 over the previous $399 w/ a 64GB base storage that goes up to 256GB. Pre-orders kick off this Friday, March 11t and will ship on March 18th. Is this the upgrade to the iPhone SE you’ve been waiting for?
