So Carl Pei’s company Nothing appears to be ready for their next product: a smartphone.  This is something that many of you have been waiting for from the co-founder of Android fan-favorite OnePlus.

According to the folks over at TechCrunch, Nothing has been working on a phone for over a year and will be announcing within the next several weeks.  Over in Barcelona for MWC, Pei was showing off a prototype as he met w/ several partner companies.  They already mentioned a smartphone coming sometime in early 2022 and this would align w/ that projection.

We don’t know pretty much anything about the smartphone but we can expect it to run Android, be powered by a Qualcomm chip (probably 8 Gen 1) and retain some of that translucent design language from their Ear(1) earbuds.

I, for one, am definitely curious about what Nothing could bring to the smartphone arena.  How about you?
