Earlier this week, Apple’s new iPhone 17 series and iPhone Air were announced, and I’ll admit it, I wasn’t impressed with the leaks, but after seeing more of it, my interest is piqued. The 6.3-inch iPhone 17 starts at $800, the 6.3-inch iPhone 17 Pro starts at $1,100, the 6.9-inch iPhone 17 Pro Max starts at $1,200, and the 6.5-inch iPhone Air starts at $1,000. As an additional bonus, the starting storage size for all of the previously mentioned iPhones is 256GB.
All of the phone carriers are offering promos, as per usual, which involve trade-ins, discounts, or getting a 17 or 17 Pro for free after credits. Apple has a new ‘get ready’ option to help the pre-order process move faster. However, you have until 12 AM ET/9 AM PT tonight (September 11th) to utilize this option. More on that in a bit. Pre-orders officially kick off at 8 AM ET/5 AM PT, as it always does, but are you ready to grab your new iPhone?

Apple’s Get Ready feature for pre-orders
So, back to Apple’s ‘Get Ready’ option, you can access it via the Apple Store app or Apple Store site. The process is relatively simple: open the app or go to the Store link, scroll down to the desired model, and then tap the ‘Get Ready’ button. Next, you’ll be asked to choose your color and storage option, and then decline or select the option of trading in an existing phone. Then, you’ll have to select between paying for the iPhone in full or making monthly payments. Finally, you’ll have to select a carrier and an option for AppleCare. Once completed, your device(s) will show up on the pre-order list, and then you can just process the pre-order when it goes live.
You can also pay via Apple Card for 3% cash back and get pre-approved for your loan if you are a part of the iPhone Upgrade Program.
