The Galaxy S26 Edge was previously leaked, and now it’s time for the base model S26 to get some shine. This time with early renders, specs, and its new name. While there won’t be anything groundbreaking coming with this, I am happy to see the addition of Qi2 magnets. FYI: The renders and spec details are courtesy of @onleaks and Android Headlines

The device won’t be called the Galaxy S26; instead, it will be called the Galaxy S26 Pro. Samsung is making some changes to its name. Instead of the S26, the S26+, and the S26 Ultra, Samsung is rebranding the base model as the S26 Pro, ditching the Plus line (similar to Apple) in favor of the S26 Edge, and retaining the S26 Ultra.

Based on the images, it easily resembles the Galaxy S25 but adds the camera housing of the Galaxy Z Fold 7. As far as its specs, we can expect a slightly larger screen, going from a 6.2 to a 6.3-inch OLED screen, powered by the upcoming Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 chip, an increase in RAM from 12GB to 16GB, a mildly larger battery going from 4,000 mAh to 4,300 mAh, the addition of Qi2 magnets for wireless charging, and possibly an increase in camera resolution with its ultrawide getting upgraded from a 12MP to a 50MP sensor.

I’m not sure if these new specs scream Pro, but if this comes to fruition, this is what we’re getting. We can expect Samsung to unveil the S26 lineup at the top of 2026, shortly after CES, unless they change up their release schedule again. So what are your thoughts on the upcoming ‘Pro’ Samsung device?
