Yesterday, OnePlus unveiled its budget-friendly 15R smartphone, despite not announcing it alongside its flagship OnePlus 15 as the company has done in the past. As with previous R-line OnePlus phones, it mirrors the flagship version with a flat design, metal frame, and a rounded square camera setup.
As with the 15, OnePlus is slowly teasing specs for it and calling it the ultimate value flagship device. Currently, the only info known about the 15R is that it will be durable with IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K ratings—the last one adds protection against high-pressure and high-temperature water jets—and will arrive in Black and Mint Green color options.
Shipping alongside the 15R is the Pad Go 2, which is the company’s mid-range tablet. It will offer an anti-glare finish, include a stylus, and have 5G connectivity, and it will arrive in Black and Purple color options.
Both the OnePlus 15R and Pad Go 2 are set to arrive on December 17 in the US, as well as Europe and India. However, we’re not sure if OnePlus will keep that date due to the delayed FCC approval of the OnePlus 15, which was caused by the 43-day government shutdown. However, there’s a OnePlus Watch Lite, which is a budget version of the company’s smartwatch, but isn’t making its way here to the US.
