It’s kind of hard to believe that it’s been four years since the last Momentum headphones from Sennheiser. However, earlier this week, the company announced its newest 5th-generation flagship headphones for consumers. Meet the Momentum 5s, which get a $50 increase for a $400 price point and go on sale on June 30th in black, white, and blue colors.

The Momentum 5s resembles its predecessor design-wise, down to its large cups, but offers new updates on the inside. Such as improved ANC performance thanks to two more mics, which equate to four on each cup, Hi-Res Audio certification with high-quality Bluetooth audio streaming via AptX Lossless, and an 8-band EQ via the companion app. The new Sennheiser cans will also ship with Bluetooth 5.4 and will get updated to v6.0 when it goes live, with Dolby Atmos support and the head-tracking feature arriving in a later update.

The cans also lose a few hours of battery compared to the Momentum 4s, as the company quotes the 5s for 57 hours with ANC on as opposed to the 60 hours on the 4s. Sennheiser equipped them with quick charging, which provides three hours of usage in a five-minute charge. The company also made its 700 mAh battery replaceable via a small Phillips-head screwdriver. Outside of the newness, they keep the impressive 42mm drivers as their predecessors.
