Back in May, LG announced the world’s first 1080p monitor with a 1,000Hz refresh rate and gave us everything except the price. Well, today that all changed, and we now have the missing piece of the puzzle, along with the sale date.
The company’s 24.5- or 25-inch Ultragear 25G590B 1080p monitor with a native 1,000 Hz refresh rate will cost you $1,000, or $1 per Hz, apparently. The monitor offers an integrated headphone hook, a custom RGB light within the UltraGear logo, and a stand and base. The screen also includes an integrated FPS (first-person shooter) counter, a low-reflection film, dynamic action sync to reduce lag and enable faster reactions, and Motion Blur Reduction Pro technology, which makes moving objects appear sharper.
Pre-orders for the Ultragear 25G590B monitor kick off today through August 31st. So there you have it. LG’s new gaming monitor is for your consumption. You can pick one up before Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 arrives in October. So who’s buying one?
