Earlier this week, Canon dropped its newest hybrid shooter: the EOS R8 Mark II. This is the company’s lightweight, full-frame camera, which was crafted to be a mobile production tool.
The new R8 is equipped with a 24.2MP full-frame, dual-pixel sensor capable of 40 fps continuous shooting and 6K video oversampled to 4K 10-bit internal video at 60 fps. Inside it has a five-axis in-body image stabilization with ISO up to 102,400 and over 4,000 auto-focus points. It also has a 3-inch vari-angle touchscreen OLED display, a multi-controller joystick for navigation, a mic input with headphone output, a micro-HDMI, and a single card slot, which supports SDXC.
It’s available for pre-order now at select retailers, including Adorama, for $1,900 for the body only and becomes available sometime in late October. So if you’re a Canon fan and have been waiting for a new camera to be announced, this is for you.
