Earlier today, Nissan announced a redesigned 2027 Rogue Hybrid, with the company’s e-Power powertrain finally coming to the US. Coincidentally, I’ve been researching the Nissan Rogue and checking out options on Carvana after renting one for a day and falling in love with it.
While its new look isn’t radical, there are several noteworthy changes to the 2027 Rogue’s appearance. It features a redesigned grille and headlights, a full-width taillight, and rear doors that open to nearly 90 degrees for easier entry and exit. It can also tow up to 1,500 lbs.
The Hybrid Rogue now offers 40.9 inches of headroom in the front seats and 31 cubic ft of cargo space before folding the second-row seats down, for a total of 66 cubic ft. Speaking of the rear seats, Nissan now provides five anchors, allowing up to three car seats instead of two.
Nissan’s e-Power hybrid system uses only its electric motors to power all four wheels, leaving the 1.5-liter three-cylinder turbocharged gasoline engine to charge the battery. This setup delivers all-wheel drive, a combined 225 hp, and an estimated 40 mpg. Nissan’s hybrid system also introduces two braking features: an e-Pedal regenerative braking system and Smooth Stop, which balances brake pressure.
So what’s new inside? The Rogue Hybrid models feature a new dashboard with a 12.3-inch touchscreen display and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The high-end trim offers a 10-speaker Bose sound system and a 14.3-inch Android-based setup with Google Maps, Gemini AI, and the Play Store. All models offer a 15W Qi2 wireless charger, but the highest trim provides two chargers.
The company also included its new-and-improved ProPilot, its driver-assistance feature. It adds a new front radar sensor and a front camera with a wider field of view, along with new software to match. This helps keep the vehicle centered in its lane, maintain center on curves at higher speeds, take over in low-speed traffic on divided highways, and automatically change lanes.
The 2027 Nissan Rogue Hybrid is slated to arrive at dealerships later this fall. It will start at $37,000 for the base trim and go up to $45,000 with all of the bells and whistles attached.
The company also announced the 2027 version of its gasoline-only Rogue, which brings over the nearly 90-degree-opening rear doors and an improved CVT engine.
