In case you thought Samsung would escape the price hikes of 2026, you were sadly mistaken. Samsung now joins Apple and Google in raising its phone prices. The flagship Galaxy S26 line is now $100 more, and the 1TB S26 Ultra is up by $200.
The base 256GB Galaxy S26 is now $1,000 from $900, the Galaxy S26+ is $1,100 from $1,000, and the Galaxy S26 Ultra is $1,400 from $1,300. The newest member, the S26 FE, escapes unscathed and will retain its $700 price tag.
As with everything else, the rising cost of RAM and AI are partly the cause of this happening. Now the question is, will next year’s Galaxy S27 lineup get yet another $100 price hike in addition to this, or will it just mirror these new prices? Hopefully, it will be the latter.
