Ever wanted AirPods to do more? Sound better? Longer battery life? Come in a color other than White? Well if you answered yes to all or any of these questions, we got the earbuds made just for you. Say hello to the PaMu Slide: Airpod-like earbuds that outdo the competition in many ways.
Now if you’ve never heard of them, let’s give you some background. Their parent company Padmate has been around since 2010 and this isn’t their 1st rodeo in making audio products as they have plenty in their inventory to choose from. These might just be their best and better than household names like Apple & Jabra for earbuds. Let’s break down what they have to offer and why. Here’s our PaMu Slide review.
To get started, you just take the earbuds out of the charging case and its already in pairing mode. After that, you can get started playing whatever media you wish. They arrive in a dark Black buds w/ Navy Blue tips. The Slides are equipped w/ multiple rubber tips for a better fit that goes right into your ear w/ ease and can stay there comfortably for hours.
They offer IPX6 water-resistant rating to handle sweat + heavy rain as well as touch controls on both pair. The controls on both earbuds are more or less the same w/ 1-tap play/pause, 1-tap answer calls, and 2-taps to decline calls. You got 2-taps on the left bud to access virtual assistant, 2-taps on the right to skip a track, long press on the left to decrease volume, and long tap on the right to increase volume.
So what’s the secret sauce behind this? It is one thing: the Qualcomm QCC3020 processor. This utilizes less power that turns into better battery life, a stronger signal, and better sound quality. The Slides are armed w/ the latest & great as they are able to auto-pair right after leaving the charging case.
Speaking of battery life, PaMu quotes 10 hours on a single charge. I’ve gotten pretty close to it w/ almost 9 and a half hours of juice on a single charge. The carrying case can charge your earbuds 5 times as it does so via USB-C. And did we mention that the charging case double as a wireless charger for phones & accessories? Yeah, it does and it’s a nice touch. However, it is a smaller 2000 mAh battery though. Like damn-near all forms of reverse wireless charging, it doesn’t charge devices fast but good to have if you’re in a pinch.
Padmate wants the PaMu Slide to best earbuds you can buy. During our time w/ them, not sure if anyone can compete – just yet. Between the fit, the sound quality, the long battery life, or the $49 price tag that accompanies it; it’s hard not to recommend this to anyone – Android or iOS users. While there are currently several Air Pod competitors out on the market right now, this might be the 1st real one. The PaMu Slide can be reserved now on Indiegogo and comes in 3 different colors of Black, White, & Green.
