I think it’s safe to say that the orange option for the iPhone 17 Pro series was a success, thanks to a substantial sales boost in China. It truly does look great in person. However, it looks like Apple is looking to capture lightning in a bottle once again for its upcoming iPhone.

According to leaker Sonny Dickson, who shared several images of iPhone 18 Pro dummy units on X, showcasing four colors: black, light blue, silver, and cherry. The company is using a new cherry color to replace the orange option and marking the return of the black iPhone as well. For credibility purposes, Dickson shared the iPhone 17 colors ahead of its announcement, and they were spot on.

We’ll see if the cherry or even the black options can repeat the success of the orange iPhones. The iPhone 18 Pro models, including the company’s first foldable, are slated to be out this fall. Meanwhile, recent rumors put the base and e-version iPhones’ release pushed back to spring 2027.
