Today, Amazfit unveiled not one, but two new premium smartwatches with new abilities added to their Zepp software. Meet the new Amazfit Balance 3, which starts at $370, and the Balance 3 Ultra, which starts at $600. Both models will be available starting tomorrow, June 2, on the company’s site, except for the titanium version of the Balance 3 that is listed as coming soon.
For their hardware, the only real differences between the two models, not including the price, are that the Balance 3 offers titanium or stainless steel options and offers up to 21 days of battery life on a single charge. While the Balance Ultra only ships in titanium and provides up to 30 days of battery life.
Differences aside, both the Balance 3 and Ultra offer a 1.5-inch OLED screen covered in sapphire glass capable of up to 3,000 nits of brightness, 64GB of internal storage, 10 ATM of water resistance (or the equivalent to 330ft.), military-grade durability, dual-band GPS, six-satellite positioning systems, and offline map support. Both also offer the same array of sensors, including an accelerometer, gyroscope, optical heart-rate monitor, temperature sensor, and barometric altimeter—all of which are capable of measuring your heart rate 24/7, heart-rate variability, SpO₂, stress levels, breathing rate, and more.
On the software side of things, Amazfit partnered with Hyrox to offer official tools for training and running, such as race-day execution, training plans, race simulations, race-specific workouts, and post-race analysis. Both Balance wearables arrive with new features on the company’s Zepp app. These features include a new HybridCharge system, which combines BioCharge (displays your body’s energy and recovery state), LifeLoad (incorporates your high mental stress, fatigue, or illness), and Training Load (provides customized guidance via Zepp Coach) all in a single area.
Also new are over 180 hybrid workouts with 25 auto-recognized strength exercises, gym sessions, step tracking, and even golfing with course maps. The company introduced a watch-free version of the app that provides manual workout tracking, nutrition logging, and access to Hybrid Charge and Training Balance features—all without an Amazfit smartwatch.
