Earlier today, Motorola unveiled its newest flagship smartphone: the Signature 27. Why was it unveiled there, you might ask? This is the first smartphone to be powered by Qualcomm’s newest Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 processor.
While we don’t have the full list of specs and features, Moto did share a few details on its newest phone. Starting with its multiple lens-based camera setup, it appears to have a total of four rear-facing cameras and an additional sensor—but it could be five in total. Its rear camera will consist of a 50MP main Sony larger Lytia 910 sensor and a 200MP telephoto lens.
The Signature 27 will arrive in a brushed aluminum and ceramic housing with a woven texture on the black color option and a feather-inspired finish on the green. It will also feature an upgraded cooling system, Bang & Olufsen-tuned speakers (as Moto recently announced a multi-year partnership with the audio company), and run Android 17 with up to seven years of OS updates and utilize the many AI features of Google’s Gemini.
Unlike its predecessor, Motorola mentions a global launch in its press release, with the Signature 27 expected to come to markets worldwide later this year. This means we’ll finally get a Motorola Signature smartphone here in the US. Don’t know how much it would cost, but expect to pay flagship prices for it.
