Alongside its new tablets, Samsung also announced its newest Galaxy SmartTag 3. The newest model brings forth a new design for the Bluetooth tracker, which is 35% smaller and 33% lighter in size. The new tracker arrives sometime in early November for $30 for one, and $100 for a four-pack in white and black colors.
In addition to its new smaller, circular design, the newest SmartTag removes a cutout for a key ring. This means you’ll need to buy one of the company’s protective cases, as seen in the images above. The new accessory also brings forth a new notification alert to trigger when it moves in or outside of a designated area with a tag’s location history.
However, a noteworthy new feature is cross-OS support, which adds iPhone support, but not within Samsung’s SmartThings Find app. The tracker also has an IP67 rating, and is powered by a CR2032 battery, which provides up to 550 days of normal use, and 790 days in power-saving mode.
