Last week, the watchmaker everyone knows announced an affordable mechanical field watch. Introducing the titanium-cased sapphire crystal Casio CMK100, which offers a Japanese automatic movement starting at $330 with a nylon strap and going up to $440 for a full titanium case and matching band.

The CMK100 arrives in a lightweight 38 mm size, wide bezel, and 11.4 mm profile, which is capable of 328 ft, or 100 meters, of water resistance. In addition to its scratch-resistant sapphire crystal, the latest from Casio provides a tough yet elegant design to wear in a variety of situations: from everyday to rugged.

Regarding its Japanese automatic movement, it offers 42 hours of power reserve with a full wind, and its accuracy ranges between -20 and +40 seconds per day. Casio also equipped it with a screw-lock crown and a date window at 3 o’clock with 6, 9, and 12 numbers present with lume for visuals in low-light. Unfortunately, this does give it Rolex Explorer vibes, but with Casio’s more function over fashion design aesthetic.

You can consider this piece a natural successor to Casio’s automatic Edifice EFK series. The Casio CMK100 arrives with your choice of black and brown leather strap, gray and black nylon, or titanium strap options. It’s expected to go on sale later this month.
