After being delayed previously, it looks like AT&T first 3D Android smartphone looks like it is ready to launch. According to AT&T’s Twitter page, subscribers can expect the LG Thrill 4G to launch on September 4th. Known overseas as the Optimus 3D, this device offers a 4.3inch stereoscopic 3D display w/ 800 x 480 resolution, powered by a 1GHz dual-core processor, running Android 2.2, 512MB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage, VGA front-facing & 5MP rear-facing dual cameras capable of 3D + 1080p HD video recording, a mini HDMI port, a 1500 mAh battery, and HSPA+ support (not LTE). Let me tell you for those into the whole 3D thing, this device looks to be one of the best in pulling it off nicely. I handled the Thrill 4G briefly and was thoroughly impressed but its 3D abilities as it is priced at $99 on contract. Sunday looks to be when you can pick one up.
