Samsung also announced their own version of a free cross-platform messaging service of their own called ChatOn. With ChatOn, you will be able to do to standard/picture/group messaging without the use of carrier SMS/MMS messaging. ChatOn will work with Android, BlackBerry, and iOS platforms as they hope to be a direct competition for apps like WhatsApp, Kik, etc. Expect the app to become available sometime in September.
