This news kinda came out of nowhere but Verizon will offer the Apple iPad starting on October 28th in retail stores and on online. The iPad will be the Wi-Fi model offered coupled with a Mi-Fi mobile hotspot with a plan of $20 per month for 1GB of dataand no contract involved. You can pick up the 16GB model for $629.99, the 32GB model for $729.99, and the 64GB model for $829.99. The Mi-Fi mobile hotspot tries to give the Wi-Fi model 3G-like powers. The Wi-Fi model without the Mi-Fi will be offered also at a later date. Consider that AT&T exclusivity a wrap at this point. Check out the official release after the break.

Verizon Wireless Offers iPad at Stores Nationwide on October 28

Verizon Wireless is offering a monthly access plan to iPad customers of up to 1GB of data for just $20 a month. In addition, Verizon Wireless will also offer all three iPad Wi-Fi models on a stand-alone basis.
