This morning Plantronics announced a follow-up w/ their budget BackBeat 505 headphones w/ the BackBeat 605 headphones. The cups are slightly larger, you got more color options, and retains all of the stuff you loved from the 505s.
So what makes the 605s different than the 505s, it now has dual EQ modes where you can switch between a Bass Boost or Balanced EQ mode in a push of a button. You also have now over-the-ear memory foam cups instead of the on-ear cups from last year.
So what's the same from the 505s? You still have the same 40mm drivers providing the sound, amazing 18-hour battery life, a 33ft wireless Bluetooth range, support for Siri, Google Assistant, & Cortana, on-ear controls for play/pause, skip tracks, volume, & calls. The 600 series will arrive in 4 colors of Black, Khaki, Navy, & Grey for a $99 price point.
We thought the BackBeat 505s were the best $80 headphones you could buy as it looks like this year's model will be even better. The BackBeat 605s are out right now, will you be picking up a pair of these?
