Earlier this year, DJI gave us the pocketable Mavic Air and looks like they’re ready to drop some more heat within the next few weeks. According to an invite received by DroneDJ, they’re prepping another product announcement in NYC for July 18th.
‘See The Bigger Picture’ is the title of the event as you see a circular image of trees & clouds that takes the shape of a human eye as you can see in the image above. We can only guess that we’re getting improved optics for better results for photo/video on the drone camera as well as a more wider image. As far as what drone this new camera could be a part of? I’d say its a toss up between the Mavic Pro 2 or the Phantom 5. I’m leaning more so towards the Mavic Pro 2 as DJI is having more success on the more consumer side w/ the smaller Mavic & Spark drones.
We have yet to see our usual DJI invite but that doesn’t mean we won’t be there in person to cover the new drone. We’ll let you know if anything changes.
