Formerly known as Project Pink, now it is officially called the Kin 1 & Kin 2. These are new social networking focused devices built by Danger (the company that bought you the Sidekick by T-Mobile) and Sharp using some of the Windows Phone (but NOT WP7 though) making its way to Verizon & Vodafone customers. The Kin’s homescreen is powered by the Loop (that acts similar to Motoblur) to constantly update your Twitter, Facebook, MySpace, Windows Live, etc. The Kin’s browser supports multi-touch (pinch to zoom), all your info/messages/photos/videos are backed up online to view on any computer, and all the media (FM radio, music, video) is Zune-powered but no Zune gaming though. The 2 Kins are due out in the US for Verizon customers sometime in May and due out in the fall for UK Vodafone customers. No word on pricing as of yet. I’d prefer the Kin 2 over the 1 but no one asked me. Hit the link below for the known specs.
