Today Apple added some new treats to its mobile OS by releasing iOS 6.1 to all. After going five rounds of beta, it is finally ready for public consumption. The most noteworthy additions are the feature to buy movie tickets using Siri and iTunes Match support to download songs from iCloud. The full changelog listing lies below:
  • LTE support for more carriers (Apple previously announced that it would add more LTE carriers this week). 36 additional iPhone carriers. 23 additional iPad carriers.
  • Purchase movie tickets through Fandango via Siri (US only)
  • iTunes Match subscribers can now download individual songs from iCloud
  • New button to reset the Advertising Identifier.
To get started just head over to Settings > General > Software Update > hit Download and Install. It is a 107MB file so we recommend to update your device via Wi-Fi.
