Sony has its CES press event this evening and removed the covers off of what they have been working on. Introducing the Xperia Z, the company’s newest Android flagship smartphone. They made sure to put everything they could into this bad boy.
The Xperia Z offers a 5inch 1080p HD Reality Display (443ppi) powered by Sony’s Mobile BRAVIA Engine 2, a 1.5GHz quad-core Snapdragon S4 Pro processor lies inside along with 2GB of RAM, 16GB of storage w/ microSD slot, running Android 4.1 (will get boosted to 4.2 soon), equipped with a 13MP Exmor RS camera sensor w/ video HDR capabilities, glass on the front and back that’s scratch resistant + waterproof up to 1 meter (a little over 3ft), NFC, LTE radio, 2330 mAh battery, and Bluetooth 4.0. Like I said, Sony packed this thing ready for smartphone war.
Depending on where you are in the world, you may get the Xperia Z or the ZL. The ZL is a slightly (and we mean slightly) modified variant of the Z. Both devices are scheduled for launch sometime during the first quarter.
