Announced after midnight, Canon unveiled their next in line prosumer DLSR with the T5i.  Many consumers loved the T4i as your all-one camera & video solution.  The T5i is more of a slight refresh with a lower price point.  Killing off its predecessor, long live the T5i.

The T5i is equipped with a 18MP APS-C CMOS sensor, powered by a DIGIC 5 image processor, ISO range from 100-25,600, continuous shooting at 5fps, 9 cross-type AF focus points, offering 7 creative filters, 3inch LCD, video recording at 1080p HD, and an improved mode dial.

Due out in April, the T5i will cost you only $799.99 for the body-only and $1,099.99 w/ the 18-55mm STM kit lens.   Good news for anyone in search of a new prosumer camera.   You can get a good deal on the T4i or just get the T5i as well.
