FiftyThree, the company behind the iPad’s Paper app, has been working to offer its users their vision of what their vision of a stylus should look like and work.   Introducing the Pencil: a Bluetooth-enabled stylus that comes with a digital eraser, recognizes + rejects your palms to only see the stylus, and allows you to blend colors with finger while resembling a carpenter’s pencil.  The tip & eraser sensors are covered in 14K gold for improved reaction, takes 90 minutes to charge via USB and battery life lasts about one month.


The Pencil comes in your choice of Graphite ($49.95) or Walnut ($59.95) through their site.  As you guessed it, the Pencil only works for the Paper app which is an iPad exclusive and works w/ the 3rd-gen iPad and higher.  Take a look at it in action in the demo video below.
