YouTube key
After being rumored for quite some time now, YouTube made their music efforts official w/ the new Music Key subscription service.  Yeah, a subscription so you will have to pay a monthly fee for access to it.   So the service works on both mobile and desktop(which you should already see).  Here you’ll find the atypical playlists, recommendations, trending and such then over the next few days it will offer a lot more.  Like finding + playing artist’s entire discographies + full albums.  Sounds pretty basic, right?  well it should as this is all of its free features.

Music Key utilizes both VEVO + Google Music to craft a music service – of sorts.

Now onto the paid Music key.  For $10 monthly, you get ad-free playback, listen to your tune in the background, offline music access, playlists or song-based radio stations, and access to Google Play Music.  So one subscription gets you access to Music key + Google Music. Also, the Google Music app will get updated to offer the option to watch the official music video for a song w/o leaving the app along w/ recommendations.  As an added bonus, Music Key is instantly supported by Chromecast + Sonos for streaming.

Unfortunately, it will launch as an invite-only beta as everyone interested and current Google Music subscribers will have to wait to get picked.  The service will officially launch sometime next year.
