Now that Apple Music has been out and live for about 24 hours now.  We found a couple of cool things that you may or may not know about the new service.  Six things to be exact.  Most of these tips and hints are focused on the Beats 1 Radio but we do have things for the streaming service as well.  From importing playlists to a request line for Beats 1 to the schedule for the 24/7 radio station and more.  Keep going below to dive into more.

 1.  How To Stop The Auto-Renewal

You may have seen this one just about everywhere but in case you haven’t this is at the top of the list.  Make sure you turn off the auto subscription renewal during this trial period.  To do this just go to the Account icon in the upper left corner.  Then tap View Apple ID, select Manage under Subscriptions, tap Your Membership above Apple Music Membership, and turn the slider next to Automatic Renewal off and you’re to go.

2. How to Request A Song On Beats 1

If you have been listening to Beats 1 Radio and loving what you’ve heard thus far.  It gets even better. At  certain parts of the day, the DJs open it up to the listeners and begin taking requests.  They have a request line where you can submit your own song requests.  This page has a list of what phone number to call based on what part of the world you are in.

3.  Where To Find The Beats 1 Schedule

You can keep up w/ everything going on w/Beats 1 Radio on this Tumblr page.  It displays the schedule of the DJs as well as the features/interviews and when to look out for them.

4. How To Listen To Beats 1 On Your Mac

If you don’t have an iOS device but you have a Mac, you can still enjoy Apple Music & Beats 1 Radio.  Just hit the App Store and update iTunes to v12.2.  After you grab it, you’ll be good to go.

5.  How To Listen To Beats 1 On Your Android Device

Apple Music is coming to Android but sometime later this fall.   There’s already a workaround created by Twitter user Benji R that allows Android users and those on other platforms/devices to listen in.  This link will bring you to a livestream of the 24/7 internet radio station as it will work on devices running Android 4.1 or later, iOS 6 or later, and OS X machines on Safari.

6. How To Import Your Rdio or Spotify Playlist To Apple Music

For those of you truly diving into Apple’s new music streaming service  and want to bring over your already-made playlists over, there’s already a solution out there for you.  It is made for Beats Music users but if you don’t have one, its nothing to sign up for a 2-week trial in order to pull this off.  Just go to this site which is the unofficial Beats Importer to bring over iTunes, Spotify, Rdio, or Windows Media Player playlists.  It may have get hit w/ a lot of traffic so it may go down at times.
