Last week, Nest announced their new product since the company’s creator left w/ the Nest Cam Outdoor. Nest has a few products in their inventory but nothing really the outside – until now. The latest camera is a complete weatherproof camera for your home (or at least outside of it anyways).
For $199, the Cam Outdoor can shoot video in 1080p, can shoot video in 130-degree wide angle and in the dark, IP65 waterproof to handle a variety of weather conditions, connects via Wi-Fi along w/ a 10ft cable and a 15ft cable to an AC adapter. It will work hand-in-hand w/ the Nest app to view live streaming and send notifications for any noise/movements. You get access to more advanced features when you pay a subscription.
The Nest Cam Outdoor is already available for pre-order as it will start shipping in 11-12 weeks. I hope you didn’t plan on picking one up anytime soon. Its gonna be a while.
