For those of you who require privacy when working on your laptop at work or at your local coffee shop, HP just announced the product just for you.  Introducing HP SureView technology that integrates a privacy screen built into their laptop displays.

Just hit Fn + F2 to activate.

HP partnered up w/ 3M to add their privacy screen inside of their laptops.  Like other privacy screens, it works by keeping light from escaping on the side.  Making the only real way to truly view it is looking at it straight on or within the 70-degree arc in the front.  We got an image below to show off what that really looks like below.

So instead of the stick-on filters, you’ll be able to add this as an option for the 2 HP laptops you can get it on: the EliteBook 840 + 1040.  The filters won’t affect the 1080p resolution or the touchscreen support.

They’re currently still figuring the pricing for the SureView options.  But in the meantime, who’s interested in keeping people out of your business?
