Starting today, AT&T customers will get a leg up on other Amazon Echo owners. You will be able to send text messages using Alexa if you own an Echo & Dot. To do so, you’ll need to ask Alexa to send a message to a particular contact and then sat the message. So voice-activated text messaging w/ your phone not necessary.
