Today is Galaxy Unpacked: Note Edition and its time to officially talk about the Galaxy Note 10 – both  models.  Days leading up to today’s announcement, its been leak city for Samsung.  Whatever the case, time to let you know what was real and what was fake.  Here is everything you need to know about the Galaxy Note 10 and Galaxy Note 10+.

R.I.P. Samsung's headphone jack.

So the Note 10 will have a 6.3inch AMOLED display w/ 2280 x 1080 resolution, 8GB of RAM, and a 3500 mAh battery +12W wireless charging.  And the Note 10+ will have a larger 6.8inch AMOLED display w/ 3040 x 1440 resolution, up to 12GB of RAM, an additional 4th camera that’s a DepthVision camera capable of AR features + 3D scanning , expandable storage via microSD and a 4300mAh battery + 20W wireless/45W wired charging.

Both have a Snapdragon 855 CPU, 256GB of internal storage, in-display fingerprint reader, Android 9 Pie w/ One UI, no more headphone jack, a f/2.2 10MP selfie camera, and 3 cameras on the rear consisting of a 12MP standard shooter w/ a variable aperture of f/1.5-f/2.4, a f/2.2 16MP ultra-wide shooter, & a f/2.1 12MP telephoto  shooter w/ 2x optical zoom.

The S Pen has come a long from being just a stylus.

The new S Pen for 2019 offers a few more goodies to make it a much-needed accessory.  Last year they made it a Bluetooth LE device and added take a photo, skip songs, or accelerate your presentation.

The year, you get a redesigned  S Pen w/ a 6-axis motion sensor + accelerometer inside, motion-tracking to use as gestures called Air Actions, you can also use it to switch between camera lenses before taking a photo w/ it, and a longer battery life for the S Pen itself that can still be recharged by placing it back into the phone.

Samsung made sure to add some cool new software features as well.  You now have a built-in video editor, bokeh mode for video, screen recorder, Zoom-In Mic to focus in on the audio when you zoom in, AR Doodle + 3D Scanner, and a new Night Mode.

Other Galaxy Note 10 things worth noting:

  • It won’t work w/ the current Gear VR headset.
  • There is a 5G version of the 6.3inch version but isn’t coming to the US.
  • There is no dedicated Bixby button this time around.
  • It still has a vapor cooling chamber system to prevent overheating.
  • Discord comes pre-installed to promote its gaming abilities.
Speaking of gaming, you can also stream games from your PC via the PlayGalaxy Link P2P service.

There you have it.  The Note 10 will start at $950 while the Note 10+ will start at $1,100 depending on your carrier.  Of course, there’s a Galaxy Note 10+ 5G as well.  That will start at around $1,300 over at Verizon as coming soon to other carriers.  Pre-orders kick off tomorrow morning at 12:01AM EST and both devices will go on sale later this month on August 23rd.

How do you feel about there being 3 Notes now?  And which one (if any) are you picking up?
