While we were down, we missed a couple of huge bits of news. We are currently playing catch while simultaneously moving forward. RIM unveiled their new Webkit-based browser coming before year’s end (or even by summer’s end) at the Mobile World Congress. It has HTML5 support as well as JavaScript & Ajax which helps load pages really fast. Rumor has it that the 9700 will be the 1st device to support the new browser due to its processor. Seems like RIM’s acquisition of Torch Mobile will be paying off VERY soon. Check out the video below.
