The rumor that RIM’s tablet OS will replace the BlackBerry OS has been confirmed to be true.   Simon Sage at IntoMobile is at the BlackBerry Developer’s Conference this morning and got word from a RIM VP the it will be the new OS…eventually.  Although it will take a while as the PlayBook’s initial target is the corporate enterprise users.  After mastering that, we should expect the PlayBook to make its way to consumer markets and in the long run expect it to officially become the new BB OS.  Imagine the ONX software on future BB devices supporting Flash, HTML5, 3-D gaming 1080p HD support, and overall stability.   The future of BlackBerry just got brighter in our opinion.
