BlackBerry is now offering a new BB6 OS update for AT&T Torch owners. This version will bring your Torch up to OS 6.0.0.246. This newer OS is said to bring:
- Speed and performance to the browser
- Improves responsiveness after unlocking
- Speeds up application launch, exit, and switching times
- Home screen renders transitions faster
- Renders thumbnails faster in the media gallery
- Improves email application performance
- Improves the Torch’s audio quality
For those of you non-risk takers who haven’t updates to one of the many beta version of BB6 or even Rogers/Telus higher version of the OS, this is for you. Although this is an official OS from RIM & the carrier please remember to backup your device before updating. It also said the RIM will be rolling out the OS via OTA within a few weeks but you can hit the link below and download it now.
