As we mentioned earlier, T-Mobile announces the future availability of Wi-Fi calling for Android. This will be powered by Kineto’s Smart Wi-Fi app will offer Android users the ability of Wi-Fi calling. This will come equipped with the new myTouch and the Motorola DEFY. The Wi-Fi Calling isn’t like the UMA offered on the 9700/9300/8520/Nokia E73, it doesn’t switch between the Wi-Fi and T-Mo network. Also it does use voice minutes and only allows for phone calls and SMS over the app. T-Mobile does plan on offering it top other Android devices in the near future but they didn’t mention which ones at the current time.
