Samsung announced over the weekend LTE versions of the Galaxy S II and the Galaxy Tab 8.9 before their September 1st press event. The new faster version of Samsung’s Android ‘superphone’ will come equipped with a LTE radio, a bigger 4.5inch Super AMOLED Plus display, and powered by a 1.5GHz dual-core processor. These kind of changes are always welcome for consumers. While the Galaxy Tab 8.9 is also getting a chipset boost with the 1.5GHz dual-core processor, an 8.9inch w/ 1280 x 800 resolution while maintaining the same thinnest of the Tab 10.1. No mention of pricing or availability as of yet but hopefully we can expect more details on the 1st. Not sure if this is why Verizon chose to opt out the Samsung extravaganza or not.
