According various sources, including Steve Jobs biographer, Apple next big idea will be an Apple HDTV with Apple TV functionality built-in. Rumors are slating this for a 2012 launch as this project was one of many the late Steve Jobs was working on along with a LTE iPhone 5 before his timely passing. Since Google TV is pretty much a bust to consumers, Apple now has a chance to capitalize on the missed opportunity.

Between their iMacs and Thunderbolt Displays, they already produce HDTVs but without the all-in-one Apple interface. Since this is Apple, their HDTVs will have cameras built-into the display for some FaceTime action. And what will Apple use for a remote you may ask? Who needs a remote control when you have Siri. Of course by the time of its alleged release, Siri will be more refined and able to do more as well. If such a project actually becomes perfected and is released, who wouldn’t want that?
