Today is a great day if you are an owner of one of AT&T’s LTE devices (Galaxy S II Skyrocket, Nitro HD, Vivid, Jetstream or Galaxy Tab 8.9 w/ LTE) as more demographics are now seeing official LTE service. As the carrier adds 11 new markets to its LTE network with adding NYC, Austin, Chapel Hill, Los Angeles, Oakland, Orlando, Phoenix, Raleigh, San Diego, San Francisco, and San Jose. The new additions gives AT&T a total of 26 markets with 74 million subscribers covered as they hope to have their entire network converted by the end of 2013. That is still some ways to go to catch up to Verizon who has had quite a head start.
