Earlier this morning Panasonic unveils new additions to the Lumix optical line with 5 new cameras on the way. With a variety of shooters ranging from a hybrids w/ interchangeable lenses to Wi-Fi point-and-shooters to high-zoom point-and-shooters. The new Venus processor gives this shooter the ability to shoot at 12 fps in burst mode to never miss a moment. You also have an electronic viewfinder as well as a 3inch LCD display. So much can be done with this one.
Then we have the Panasonic G5 hybrid w/ interchangeable lenses. The G5 offers a new 16.05MP sensor that records video in 1080p HD at 60 fps. Combined with their new Venus Engine, capable of high-level auto focus, a new tap-to-focus system, an electronic viewfinder, & a swiveling LCD display. This is no slouch, previous G series are known for recording near-flawless video as it only gets better with the G5.
The LX7 offers a high-end point-and-shoot experience with some added manual features for the in-between prosumer. This shooter offers a 10.1MP sensor w/ a 24mm wide-angle lens + aperture ranging from f/ 1.4 -2.3 that is capable of 3.8x zoom and records video in 1080p HD at 60fps in stereo. The lens on the LX7 also has extra-low dispersion setting for reducing noise/distortion even more so in your photos. There’s not much this camera can’t do.
And lastly, we have the Wi-Fi enabled SZ5. The SZ5 offers a 14.1MP sensor w/ a 25mm wide-angle lens capable of 10x optical zoom and recording video in 720p HD.
