We already know that Apple is working on its own HDTV w/ FaceTime & Siri but what we didn’t know is how it would provide its content.  The Wall Street Journal reported on exactly how it would work.  Apple is currently pitching their Apple TV to become a set-top box to cable companies.   Apple’s service would store entire episodes as they air live giving users a cloud-based DVR that would work for older & current content as well as on-demand.   The service would work with devices like the iPhone or iPad, giving those devices access to the content as well.  Expect this service to launch alongside the iTV rumored for a 2013 launch with pricing starting at over $1,000.
