Sony also announced the successor to the NEX-5N with the NEX-5R.  By gazing at the image, it looks like not much has changed.  Sony made sure that this is not the case.   The newest NEX shooter offers a 16.1MP APS-C Exmor sensor,  a seriously improved hybrid Auto-focus feature that combined a 99-point phase technology & contrast detection that can track action up to 10-frames per second, records full 1080p HD video at 60fps, ISO range from 100-25,600, a 180 degree tilting LCD touchscreen display, Wi-Fi b/g enabled for wireless photo transfers (in RAW or other formats), and has a camera app store called PlayMemories where you can grab apps like Direct Upload, Time-Lapse, Photo Retouch and more to add more features to your NEX.  Sony’s newest shooter will become available in October with a $749.99 price tag.   If they don’t plan on refreshing the NEX-7, this maybe my new shooter in the near future.
