And lastly unveiled at Sony’s IFA presentation was their 84inch 4KTV. For those of you who are unaware, 4K is the next level of HDTV with an even higher resolution for a more realistic view of media/entertainment. Sony’s XBR-84X900 marks the company’s first 4KTV as well. This offers n 84inch 4K LCD w/ 3840 x 2160 resolution in 16:9 aspect ratio, 3D support (that requires 3D glasses), a built-in 50-watt, 10-unit speaker system w/ subwoofer, Wi-Fi/DLNA support for apps like Skype, Sony Entertainment Network apps, Netflix, Pandora, & more. Expect the huge TV to come to the US before the end of the year at select retailers & the Sony Store online. No word on pricing as of yet.
