Today HTC’s event, they unveiled their first in line of Windows Phone 8 devices with the 8S and the 8X. With their new WP8 devices, HTC made sure to incorporate the innovative designs used for the One series along with Microsoft’s newest mobile OS. More details on the two lie below.
The HTC 8S offers a 4inch Super LCD display w/ 800 x 480 resolution + Gorilla Glass coating, powered by a 1GHz S4 dual-core processor, 512MB of RAM, 4GB of storage, Beats Audio built-in, a 5MP f/2.8 35mm camera lens w/ auto-focus + LED flash, armed with HTC’s ImageSense chip last seen in the One series, offers 720p HD video recording w/ stereo sound & a dedicated camera button, and a 1700 mAh battery. Expect the 8S to arrive sometime in November. Consider this their entry-level WP8 device.
The HTC 8X offers a 4.3inch 720p Super LCD display w/ Gorilla Glass + 341ppi, powered by a 1.5GHz S4 dual-core processor, 1GB of RAM, 16GB of storage, Beats Audio built-in, an 8MP f/2.0 28mm wide-angle camera lens w/ auto-focus + LED flash, armed with HTC’s ImageSense chip last seen in the One series, capable of 1080p HD video recording w/ stereo sound, a 2.1 f/2.0 front-facing camera capable of recording 1080p HD video, and a 1800 mAh battery. Also set to launch sometime in November. This is easily the high-end WP8 device from HTC. We’ll be back shortly with an official hands-on with it.
