At the stroke of midnight, Sony unveiled a new Wi-Fi NEX camera with the NEX-6.    Poised to be right under the flagship shooter, the NEX-7, this new model offers nearly similar features at a slightly lower price point.   The NEX-6 is armed with a 16.1MP APS-C Exmor sensor, the improved hybrid 99-point auto-focus system, incorporating Sony’s BIONZ image processor, ISOs from 100-25,600, an OLED Tru-Finder viewfinder (like the NEX-7) along with a 3inch LCD touchscreen display that swivels 90 degrees up or 45 degrees down, Sweep Panorama, Auto HDR mode, anti-motion blur mode, can record full 1080p HD videos in 60p/60i/24p, and the same Wi-Fi features found within the upcoming NEX-5R.  The latest NEX will become available sometime in mid-November for $850 for the body-only and $1000 w/ the SELP1650 16-50mm f/3.5-5.6 kit lens.  Sony is definitely coming with it for compact mirror-less shooter as they continue to expand their selection of lens as well.
