After being unveiled during Apple’s big fall event, the thinner iMacs was just confirmed by the company.  The new all-in-one desktop Macs are now thinner, stronger, & faster.   With the 21.5inch model equipped with a 8GB of RAM, 1TB of storage, powered by a 2.7GHz quad-core Core i5 processor, and NVIDIA graphics card for $1,299.  The new iMac also uses their new Fusion Drive which puts the startup software on a 128GB SSD coupled with a 1TB or 3TB HD for an even faster performance across the board.  Of course being this thinner, you will notice the optical drive is now MIA.  The 21.5inch iMac will become available this Friday, November 30th.

As for the bigger and more powerful 27inch iMac, it will ship sometime in December.  The 27inch offers a 2.9GHz quad-core Core i5 processor & NVIDIA graphics, all on a 27inch display w/ 2560 x 1440 resolution.  Pricing starts at $1,799.
